The cards were created by Claire Potter, mother, writer and author of two books for parents: Keeping the Little Blighters Busy and Getting the Little Blighters to Eat (Bloomsbury). When Claire’s son turned 13, she set him 13 challenges – a kind of modern rite of passage. When her husband turned 50, she took the idea one step further and presented him with a box of 50 mini-challenges – to be opened and done one by one, week by week, over the year – to stop him slipping into middle age! Now she has applied the idea to families with this specially designed set of cards.
